VFW Post 5760 Mercer Island, Washington will:

- Be comprised of citizen-patriots who’ve served their country honorably.

- Be unified by a clear mission and strategic goals.

- Be conscience of the needs of our Nation and its many communities.

Comrades of VFW Post 5760 will be individual and collective advocates for all Veterans of the Armed Forces of the United States and their families, while serving to advance public understanding of and support for issues of critical importance to include sustaining our National Defense, advancing American ideals, and fostering patriotism and pride in our country.

We recognize the following Values serving to guide our actions as Comrades-in-Arms:

- To support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America, against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

- To embrace the shared core values of our nation’s Armed Forces: Honor, Courage, & Commitment.

- To assist fellow veterans in need, regardless of race, religion, gender, age, ethnicity, or physical or mental condition.

- To foster those leadership traits and principles learned in military service and relied upon while fighting our Nation’s foes;

- To remember our fallen comrades – those taken prisoner in war or missing in action – and insure full accounting for their sacrifice to the nation.
